Accept your stock option offer
When your company grants you stock options through Cake, you'll receive an email with a link to review and accept your grant.
Step 1: Open the offer
Look for an email from Cake with details about your stock option grant. Click View my Grant in the email.
Step 2: Create your account
Sign up using the same email address the offer was sent to. If you're prompted to create a company after signing up, you've used the wrong email, log out and try again with the correct address.
Step 3: Review your grant
From the main menu, click Offers.
Click Review offer to open your grant details.
Click Enter details to add your personal information.
Sign contract to confirm acceptance. If required, enter a witness name and email address.
Right a thank you note to the company
Optional: A pop-up will appear, choose a sticker and write a thank you note to the company.
Advanced settings
If you're eligible to hold your options through an SPV (AU/NZ: bare trust), expand Advanced settings to add those details before signing.
Step 4: Accept your grant
Sign contract to confirm acceptance. If required, enter a witness name and email address.
Optional: A pop-up will appear, choose a sticker and write a thank you note to the company.Once you've reviewed and completed all required fields, sign the grant letter to confirm acceptance.
After signing
Your signed documents will appear in your Documents section. Your options will be visible in your Portfolio once the company has confirmed the grant.
