Create and Manage Contact Groups
Contact groups let you organise your stakeholders so you can send communications or share documents with multiple people at once, rather than one at a time.
How groups work
Some groups in Cake are created automatically, for example, your shareholders or option holders. These auto-created groups cannot have members added manually. To work with a customised version, you can duplicate an existing group or create a new one from scratch.
Groups are used in two places:
Communications: send a message to all members of a group at once
Document sharing: share a document with an entire group instead of individual stakeholders
Create a new group
Go to Engage → Groups & Board → Groups
Click + New group.
Enter a name for the group.
Add members by searching for existing stakeholders.
Click Save.
Duplicate an existing group
Duplicating is useful when you want to start from an auto-created group and customise it.
Go to Engage → Groups & Board → Groups
Find the group you want to duplicate and click the options menu.
Select Duplicate.
Rename the duplicate group and add or remove members as needed.
Click Save.
