Download Your Documents Before Leaving
Before cancelling your Cake account, download copies of the documents stored in your account. Once your account is closed, document access is removed.
Download your documents
Go to Documents → All documents.
Click into a folder.
Click on the relevant document.
Click Download.
Repeat for each document.
Tip: Start with your most critical folders, signed agreements, share certificates, and board resolutions, then work through the rest.
What to prioritise
Documents you'll almost certainly need after leaving Cake:
Signed option grant agreements: legal record of each grant
Share certificates: proof of share ownership for investors
Board resolutions and consents: governance records
SAFE and convertible note agreements: investor documentation
ASIC or compliance filings (AU only)
After downloading
Store your documents in a secure location, Google Drive, Dropbox, or your company's document management system. Share with your legal counsel or company secretary as needed.
