Enable or Reset Two-Factor Authenticator

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Cake account. When enabled, all users on your company account, including admins, employees, and advisors, must verify their identity with a one-time code every time they log in.

Requires Cake Pro plan to enable 2FA for your account.

Enable 2FA for your company

  1. Go to Settings and select the Security tab.

  2. Toggle Two-Factor Authentication on.

Once enabled, all associated accounts will be prompted to set up an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) on their next login.

Reset a stakeholder's 2FA

If a stakeholder is locked out because they've lost access to their authenticator app:

  1. Go to Settings and select the Security tab.

  2. Find the user in the 2FA management list.

  3. Click Reset next to their name.

They'll be prompted to set up a new authenticator app on their next login.

Admin locked out

If you (as an admin) are locked out of your own account due to 2FA, contact Cake support via the ? icon on the login page or at the help center.
