Give An Advisor Access

You can give an external advisor, such as a registered agent, attorney, or accountant, admin access to your Cake account. This lets them access your equity data for reporting and compliance without needing you to send them exports manually.

Before you start

  • You need Admin or Account Owner access.

  • Advisors are typically granted Admin permission so they have full read access to the data they need.

Method 1, Quick invite

  1. Click the + Invite co-pilots in the top right corner of your Cake account.

  2. Enter the person's email address.

  3. Select their position (Attorney, Finance or leave blank).

  4. Choose their permission level: see Understanding User Permissions in Cake for a breakdown.

  5. Click Invite.

Method 2, Via Settings

  1. Go to Settings → Company access.

  2. Click + Add company access in the top right.

  3. Enter the person's email, position, and permission level.

  4. Click Invite.

What happens next

Your advisor receives an email invitation to join your Cake account. They need to sign up using the same email address the invitation was sent to. Once they've accepted, they can log in and access your equity data at the Admin level.
