Set Up a Company
Create your Cake account and company in a few steps. Cake walks you through entering your company details during signup, the whole process takes about five minutes.
Set up your first company
Go to cakeequity.com and click Get started free
Enter your name, email address, and a password
Follow the prompts to enter your company details:
Entity type: company or individual
Company name and country of incorporation
Industry and company stage
Optionally invite a co-pilot (a team member or advisor who will also manage your account)
Click Finish to complete setup
You will land on the Get started page with a checklist to guide your next steps.
Add another company
Already have a Cake account? You can manage multiple companies under one login.
Click the company initials (or logo if uploaded) in the top left corner of the screen to open the company switcher
Select + Add New Company at the bottom of the dropdown
Follow the same setup steps as above to enter your new company details
Switch between companies anytime by clicking the company name in the top left corner
What Happens Next
Once your company is set up, your Get started checklist guides you through the key next steps: adding your company details, setting up your cap table, and configuring equity plans if you plan to grant options or issue shares.
