Set Up Board Members and Signees
Board members are the directors and authorised people associated with your company. Signees are the board members you designate to sign legal documents, like share certificates and other agreements, on behalf of the company.
Before you start
You need Admin or Account Owner access.
You can have a maximum of two company signees.
Add a board member
Go to Engage → Groups & Board → Board Members.
Click Add Board Member in the top right.
Enter the board member's details:
Full name
Email address
Role: Director, President, Secretary, Officer/Authorised Person, or Alternate
Configure their signing authority:
Check Company Signee if this person is authorised to sign documents on behalf of the company
Signees can sign share certificates and other agreements
Cake recommends adding two signees if applicable
Click Save.
What happens next
The board member appears in your company's board member list. If you designated them as a signee, their name will be available to select when issuing share certificates or sending documents for signing.
