The most common reason why you are unable to choose the Starter plan when upgrading from our Freemium plan is that you're currently using a feature that's exclusively available in the Growth Plan, such as Stock Options/ESOP and RSA/Share Plans. If you wish to continue using these features, the Growth plan will be best for you! In fact, this is our most common plan!

However, if you would prefer to proceed with upgrading to a Starter Plan for now, here are some steps to follow:

  1. Identify the Features: First, take a moment to identify which specific features you've been utilizing that are associated with the Growth Plan. Options and Share Plans are examples of such features. You can check out the full list of features here.

  2. Clear Data: Next, you'll need to clear out any data or configurations you've set up within those features. This ensures a smooth transition to the Starter Plan.

  3. Upgrade: Once you've cleared the relevant data, you should be able to select the Starter Plan during the upgrade process without any issues.

By following these steps, you'll be on your way to enjoying the benefits of the Starter plan in no time.
