If you are looking to add a SAFE or Convertible Note holder in Cake, you have come to the right place! Follow these simple steps to add a note holder and issue a note in Cake.

Step 1: Select Equity and Note Holders

To begin, navigate to the Equity section in Cake and then select Note holders.

Step 2: Add Your First Note

Next, click on + Add your first Note or simply +Add if you already have existing notes issued in Cake.

Step 3: Search for the Relevant Note Holder

In the Noteholder field drop down, search for the relevant note holder. If they are not yet an existing contact in your Cake account, click on Add new noteholder at the bottom of the drop down to create a new contact. Complete the remaining contact details for the new contact.

Step 4: Select Note Type

Select the appropriate Note type from the drop down box. This could be a Convertible note, SAFE note, or a Non-standard note.

Step 5: Complete the Remaining Fields

Complete the remaining fields including the Total paid, Issue date, Valuation cap, Discount, and for Convertible Notes, also include the Annual interest rate and Maturity date (if applicable).

Step 6: Issue the Note

Once all the necessary information has been entered, click on Issue note in the bottom right corner to issue the note.

Nice work! You have successfully added a note holder and issued a note in Cake. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.
