When issuing stock options through Cake, the percentage of fully diluted equity is calculated for each optionholder. This is referred to as their "Ownership" in Cake and is based on the assumption that all granted options under the offer will eventually vest.

How is the fully diluted percentage of equity calculated? 🤔

The fully diluted percentage is calculated by dividing the number of granted options by the total securities of the company. Total securities of the company include both the total number of shares and the total number options.

For stakeholders with multiple Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) offers, their diluted ownership will accumulate. The cumulative diluted ownership can be viewed in their individual stakeholder profile. However, in the offer list on the company’s side, the ownership percentage will display separately for each offer.
