Here are the steps on how to use Cake's Equity calculator -

  1. Go to Portfolio in the main menu in your Cake portfolio

  2. Click 'View' next to the company name

  3. If you hold other types of securities in your portfolio, locate the options tab in the top menu

  4. To get to the Equity calculator click on 'Find out!' in the bottom left corner

  5. In the pop-up, type in the % of your options and the potential future valuation of the company. This will give you the estimated future value of your options based on the selected valuation.

  6. If you'd like you can tick the advanced mode toggle in the top right hand corner to add in the number of future investment rounds and the % of dilution of these rounds.

The value to the left represents the current company valuation and the current value of your options based on this valuation. If this is at $0 it means the company has chosen not to add their current valuation to Cake.

The estimated value to the right represents the potential future company valuation (that you have enter in the calculator) and the estimated future value of your option based on this valuation.
