How to connect your AI assistant to Cake
Cake uses MCP, the open standard AI assistants use to connect to tools. Connect Claude, Codex, Cursor or any MCP client and ask about your Cap Table in plain English. The answer comes from your live Cap Table, not a spreadsheet someone exported last month.
Request access
During the rollout, access is by request.
- Log in to Cake.
- Go to Settings > AI Access (MCP).
- Click Request access.
We turn it on for your company, usually the same business day, and send you setup instructions for your assistant.
Who can get it
Team, Growth and Pro plans, on annual or quarterly billing, in every country. Included at no extra charge - no add-on, no separate line on the invoice.
Which assistants work
Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code), Codex, Cursor and VS Code today. Any client that speaks MCP can connect, and more add support every month.
It reads, it never writes
Every tool on the server is read-only. Your assistant can tell you the pool has 12% left. It cannot issue a grant against it. Issuing, editing and deleting stay in the app behind the usual approvals.
