Set Up Officers & Directors for Document Signing
Officers and directors are the authorized people associated with your company. You add them so they can be designated as signees - the people allowed to sign share certificates and other legal documents on behalf of the company.
Before you start
You need Admin or Account Owner access.
You can have a maximum of two company signees.
Add an officer or director
Go to People → Officers & Directors.
Click Add officer or director in the top right.
Enter their details:
Full name
Email address
Role: Director, President, Secretary, Officer/Authorized Person, or Alternate
Configure their signing authority:
Check Company Signee if this person is authorized to sign documents on behalf of the company.
Signees can sign share certificates and other agreements.
Cake recommends adding two signees if applicable.
Click Save.
What happens next
The person appears in your Officers & Directors list. If you set them as a signee, their name becomes available to select when you issue share certificates or send documents for signing.
