Set Up Officers & Directors for Document Signing

Officers and directors are the authorized people associated with your company. You add them so they can be designated as signees - the people allowed to sign share certificates and other legal documents on behalf of the company.

Before you start

  • You need Admin or Account Owner access.

  • You can have a maximum of two company signees.

Add an officer or director

  1. Go to People → Officers & Directors.

  2. Click Add officer or director in the top right.

  3. Enter their details:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Role: Director, President, Secretary, Officer/Authorized Person, or Alternate

  1. Configure their signing authority:

  • Check Company Signee if this person is authorized to sign documents on behalf of the company.

  • Signees can sign share certificates and other agreements.

  • Cake recommends adding two signees if applicable.

  1. Click Save.

What happens next

The person appears in your Officers & Directors list. If you set them as a signee, their name becomes available to select when you issue share certificates or send documents for signing.
