View the Current Value of your Shares

Want to see what your shares are currently worth? If your company has enabled share valuations and added their most recent company valuation, you can view your current share value in your Cake portfolio.

Looking for stock options instead? If you have stock options (not shares), check out our guide on how to View the Current Value of your Options.

View your current share value

  1. Go to Portfolio in your main menu

  2. Click View to see your holdings

  3. Find the Shares tab (this only appears if you have multiple types of securities)

  4. Review your estimated value - this shows what your shares are worth based on the company's most recent valuation

Why you might not see a share value

Your estimated share value will only appear if:

  • The company has enabled share valuations for investors

  • The company has added their most recent valuation to Cake

If you see $0 or no estimated value, it means either the company hasn't enabled this feature for investors or they haven't added their current company valuation yet. Contact the company you've invested in directly to ask about enabling share valuations or updating their company valuation.

Understanding your share value

The estimated value shown is calculated using:

  • The company's most recent valuation (added by the company)

  • Your total number of shares

  • Current share price (company valuation ÷ total securities)

Important note: This is an estimated value based on the company's most recent valuation and is for informational purposes only. Actual share value may vary. If you wish to discuss your share value, contact the company you've invested in directly.
