Once you have completed all the necessary share subscription documents and received payments, it’s time to add the new allotment to your share register.

  1. From the main menu, go to Equity and select Shareholders.

  2. Click the Add button in the top left-hand corner.

  3. Select Shareholder button from the drop-down menu.

  4. In the first field, add or select the shareholder that you are issuing the shares to. If you are adding a new shareholder, check this article for more help on how to 'Add a New Shareholder'

  5. Select the Share type / Stock type you are issuing. If you want to add a new share type see ‘Add a new share type’.

  6. Date of issue. Enter the date the shares are to be issued to the shareholder.

  7. Number of shares / Number of stock. This specifies the number of shares that the shareholder will be issued in this allotment.

  8. Investment amount. Enter the total amount paid in dollars and cents that the shareholder paid for the shares.

  9. Price per share. This amount is calculated automatically based on the number of shares issued and the total amount paid.

  10. Amount unpaid. Add any amount that is unpaid on the shares at the time of issue.
