Edit or Delete Stakeholder Details
You can update a stakeholder’s details at any time, including their email address, street address, contact person, or signers. You can also remove a stakeholder from your registry if needed.
Editing and deleting need share registry edit permission. Without it, the Actions menu does not appear on the stakeholder’s page.
Edit stakeholder details
Go to People → All.
Click the stakeholder you want to update.
Click Actions in the top right, then Edit stakeholder.
Update the details in the drawer that opens.
Click Save.
Fields you can update include name, email, phone, address, stakeholder type, employee ID, role, level, and comments. For a company holder you can also update the contact person, identifier details, and company signers. For a joint holding you can update both holders. If your plan includes salary details, salary is edited here too.
Delete a stakeholder
Go to People → All.
Click the stakeholder you want to remove.
Click Actions in the top right, then Delete stakeholder.
Confirm.
Note: Deleting a stakeholder is permanent and cannot be undone. Only delete a stakeholder if they have no equity holdings or transaction history in Cake, otherwise this may affect your cap table accuracy.
Can’t delete a stakeholder?
If you can’t delete a stakeholder, it’s because they have a transaction linked to them. First delete the transaction, then delete the stakeholder.
