Downloading Document Previews for ESOP Offers πΌ
To send ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan) offers offline, follow these steps:
Add your offers to the offer list and save them as drafts.
Locate the offer from the offer list that you would like to generate the customised offer letter for and click on it.
On the offer details page, find the "Preview documents" section on the right-hand side.
Click on the offer letter and select "Download" in the bottom right corner.
Close the preview by clicking the β³ in the top right corner and send the downloaded offer letter via your preferred method.
After the document is executed, click on "Grant" on the relevant offer from the list, pop in the Grant Date and upload the signed agreement where prompted to finalise the offer, bypassing the need for signing through Cake.
Saving Document Previews for Raise Offers and Share Transfer Offers ππ€
For raise offers and share transfer offers, follow these steps:
Add the investor to the raise on Cake using the "+ Add offer" button.
The offer will be in the "Ready to invite" stage. Click on "Invite/Send" as if you were going to send the offer through Cake (don't worry - nothing will be sent to the investor at this point!).
Navigate through the next steps until you get to the Document Preview screen, the agreement will be populated with investor details.
Right-click on the document and choose "Save As" to save it as a PDF.
Close the preview by clicking the β³ in the top right corner, which will exit this workflow without sending the document.
Send the agreement using your preferred method.
Once you receive the fully executed agreement, go to "More" on the offer in the raise or share transfer offer and select "Settle Offline."
Upload the agreement where prompted, which will skip passed any signing prompted through Cake and move the offer to the next stage in the workflow.
Don't forget to ensure your stakeholder contact details are up to date if you plan to use this! ππ§π’
Ensure that the stakeholder contact information is up to date for inclusion in the agreements. Follow these steps to update stakeholder details:
Go to the Company tab and select "Stakeholders."
Search for the relevant stakeholder and click on their record.
Click on "Edit" in the top right corner.
Update any necessary details, such as full name, email address, and street address.
